Please join us in welcoming Karsten & Kristen Bush of Black Girls Do Engineer.

Karsten Bush (she/her/hers) holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She joined FM Global as a Consultant Engineer in 2019, where she primarily serves the Southern California region. She is currently a Chemical Specialist in Training and is certified to visit secondary pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical locations. Outside of work, she enjoys mentoring young people to pursue STEM careers and has become a board member for the Black Girls Do Engineer Los Angeles Chapter as an Executive Director for the Mentorship and College Prep Program. She has also participated in activities for the National Society of Black Engineers and Society of Women Engineers.

Kristen Bush (she/her/hers) is an Engineer/Scientist I in Electric Transportation at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Her research topics include transportation equity, infrastructure design, and inventories related to medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. Outside of her professional interests in clean energy access and energy justice, Bush also advocates for and supports the upliftment of Black girls and women in STEM as a Board Member of the Black Girls Do Engineer Los Angeles Chapter. She also supports and is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) as well as the NSBE Los Angeles Professionals Chapter.
