Join us for APACT (Asian Pacific Americans at Caltech) Leadership Series featuring David Kang, Associate Vice President of Facilities, a seasoned facilities and emergency management professional and public safety leader.

Kang intersects with nearly all aspects of the Caltech's operations, providing strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Institute's physical plant, including design and construction, facilities operations and maintenance, sustainability, campus security, parking, environmental health and safety, emergency management, mail services, and faculty housing. Previously, Kang served as vice chancellor for infrastructure and sustainability at the University of Colorado Boulder. He also held a wide range of senior-level positions and facilities management roles for the U.S. Navy, including serving as the director of project management for the White House Military Office. He holds a master's degree in civil engineering from UC Berkeley and a bachelor's degree in structural engineering from UC San Diego.
