The Alternative PhD Careers Club has invited Amy Wang for a question and answer session on careers in investment banking. Amy has worked at MDB Capital Group in Santa Monica since 2007 supporting endeavors the in life sciences and healthcare. She obtained her PhD from the department of Biological Chemistry at UCLA in 2004 and her MBA from UCLA Anderson in 2010.
After her PhD and post-doc, Amy worked briefly as a scientist for Amcyte and Invitrogen. In 2009, she interned for California Technology Ventures, a local venture capital group in Pasadena with a healthy portfolio of life sciences companies.
