Quick introduction to Emily: Their primary research lies in critically examining machine learning/AI technology and its impact on society. They received their PhD in machine learning from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU, focusing on unsupervised learning and generative modeling of images and video. They have also been involved in numerous other organizations such as interning at DeepMind, Facebook AI Research, and a mentor for OpenAI Scholars.
