WELCOME TO THE 2014 CALTECH TEACHING CONFERENCE
Date: Thursday, September 25, 2014
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM; with concurrent sessions to choose from throughout the day.

First year-graduate students: G1s are automatically registered for the Teaching Conference as part of their orientation week; please click here for instructions on completing the pre-conference online policy training, which is required.

Returning graduate students, undergraduates, postdocs, instructors, staff, and alumni may register here by September 20 in order to participate.

The Teaching Conference will feature an opening session in Ramo Auditorium with faculty and student speakers at 9:00 AM, followed by concurrent sessions in Avery, Annenberg, and Moore throughout the day, lunch at Avery, and a closing poster reception in Avery Courtyard at 2:30 PM.

Each concurrent session block will feature a variety of interactive sessions for everyone from beginning TAs (e.g., Grading and Feedback, Teaching Effective Recitations, Lab TA-ing, Office Hours, and Getting to Know Your Caltech Undergrads, Microteaching: Practice, Assessment, Feedback), to more experienced instructors and those interested in advancing their teaching-related professional development (e.g., Teaching with Technology, Head TA Network, How to Plan and Run a Tutorial, Authoring New Problems for Sets and Exams, Professional Planning for Careers in Academia).
