The Caltech Women's Club (CWC) is pleased to welcome Bonnie Wallace and Marilyn Artus for a virtual presentation rooted in history and art that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment that secured the right of women to vote.

Historian Bonnie Wallace will bring to life the history of this tumultuous fight to get the amendment through Congress and the battle to get 38 states to ratify the amendment.

Artist Marilyn Artus will share the inspiration behind her inspiring "Her Flag" project, a "nationwide art and travel project…to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the 72-years-long nonviolent fight that kicked open voting for women in the United States."  Marilyn will share about the project and the commissioned women artists from each of the 38 ratifying states who designed and made a stripe for the flag.

The event will be emceed by Brenda Gant.

We'd love for you to put on your suffrage white and join the CWC for this fun and inspiring presentation and celebration that will be sure to put you in the mood to cast your Nov. 3rd ballot.
