We will discuss a double scaling of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model. The standard large N scaling of SYK was analyzed at low energies, where it is known to have interesting properties such as being maximally chaotic and having a holographic description. We will see that in double-scaled SYK, exact results can be obtained at all energies. In particular, many known results, such as those found using the Schwarzian theory, are given by appropriate limits of those. We will discuss supersymmetric versions of SYK, where such an exact analysis is possible through an analogy to generalized Brownian motion.
