Effective Feedback Practices for Any Classroom
Workshop by Dr. Jessica Tinklenberg (The Claremont Colleges Center for Teaching and Learning)

Our feedback practices have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and encourage our students, but also the potential to do both educational and personal harm. Fortunately, improving our feedback does not need to be complicated! In this workshop, we will discuss together simple changes to our feedback practices that can produce deeper and more equitable learning opportunities for our students. (And they make grading easier, too!)

About the Speaker

Jessica Tinklenberg (PhD, Florida State University) is the Program Director for the Claremont Colleges Center for Teaching and Learning. In her twenty-year career, she has taught students from K-12 through graduate school and now works with faculty and instructional staff to promote more equitable and inclusive learning in their own classes. Her research interests include active learning pedagogies, pedagogies of empathy, masculinities in sport, and religion and popular culture. She is definitely a dog person.
