First-Hand to a Degree Separated: Grief and Climbing After Tragedy

Zachary was ready to turn his passion for climbing full time this spring but then COVID upended plans to move into a van and pursue a years-long goal. Then, in the summer the death of his girlfriend's brother in an alpine accident changed his relationship with climbing altogether.
Zack will share his experience of witnessing the aftermath of a death too soon, the acceptance of grief, and the attempt to reconcile himself with climbing through pursuits in the Grand Tetons and Yosemite Valley.
