Enter Totem Magazine's Art of Science Contest
Submissions are now open for Caltech's Art of Science Competition! This event is hosted by the Caltech literary and arts magazine, Totem.
Typically Art of Science is for science-related content, such as topics that inspire or create wonder, the experience of doing science and research, scientific concepts or questions, etc. However, in light of COVID-19, the "art of science" encompasses the experience of being a scientist in this historic time. Perhaps you've had to adapt to working on research remotely, perhaps your research has pivoted to address the pandemic, or perhaps you've taken some interesting photos documenting this time. If your experience as a scientist during COVID has inspired you to create art, we encourage you to submit it to Art of Science.
All Caltech undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to compete for the visual art prizes. All Caltech and JPL affiliates, including post-docs, faculty, and staff, are welcome to submit scientific art to be considered for display in the Art of Science gallery in a format to be determined. Entries to the Art of Science competition and gallery can be submitted now through March 19, 2021 at noon.
Prizes:
- First Place - $700
- Second Place - $450
- Third Place - $300
