Cooling Tower Replacement Project Will Restrict Road Access on Wilson Avenue

On April 9 and 23, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wilson Avenue will be closed from Cornell Road to the Polytechnic parking garage and half open from there to California Boulevard as a large crane installs the new cooling towers. We anticipate that the tower installation will cause noise, and that structural steel placement will cause occasional noise leading up to the arrival of the cooling towers. The future facility will be more efficient, attractive, and seismically safe.
