Join us for a poetry & spoken word performance honoring the experiences of women from all walks of life by local poet Angela Aguirre, who was a featured artist at the 2014 YWCA Pasadena-Foothill Valley's Women for Racial Justice Breakfast.

Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 25 people in attendance.

About the Speaker:

Angela Aguirre is a Los Angeles based poet and filmmaker who enjoys utilizing her creativity in meaningful ways. She loves facilitating workshops with marginalized, underserved populations because she feels they are the most often ignored, yet often have the most important messages to share. Her performances and workshops usually take on the spirit of the room, but tend to focus on celebrating honesty. Angie has a way with words, and has been able to help other young poets and writers find the courage to be honest first with themselves, then in their writing, and ultimately with the world.
