Career services staff at Caltech and Harvey Mudd College (HMC) will co-sponsor two career fairs in October to provide students and employers with opportunities to connect for employment and internship opportunities in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
The Software and Data Science Virtual Fair is set for Thursday, October 1, and the STEM Virtual Fair will take place Thursday, October 8. Both fairs, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be hosted via the virtual career fair platform Brazen and will allow attendees to use video, audio, or text-based chat to meet with employers one-on-one through a queueing system. Undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, and recent alumni of Caltech and the Claremont Colleges are invited to register.
Claire Ralph, director of the Caltech Career Development Center, says, "COVID has only increased the importance of supporting students, postdocs, and recent alums in their search for meaningful work. Caltech is striving to find new and creative ways to do this within a virtual environment. Partnering with HMC allows us to connect with a broader group of career opportunities for our community."
To attend, register via Handshake or by emailing [email protected]. Recent alumni will receive registration information via the Caltech Alumni Association.
