The teams that took the field at the Rose Bowl last Friday afternoon were composed of none other than Caltech's own Fleming House denizens, past and present. Continuing a tradition started in 2001, the students took the afternoon off to socialize with their fellow Flems, get to know some alumni, and play a few games of touch football in Myron Hunt's famous stadium.

Sponsored by Caltech Human Resources,today's event is an opportunity for children and teenagers—fromfourth graders to high school seniors—to explore future career possibilities and learn more about what goes on at Caltech.

Among the many events that take place in April, one of the lesser known is the month-long "Gaypril" celebration, dedicated to advancing awareness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) issues at Caltech and other universities around the country.

Robots designed and built by Caltech undergraduate students will battle in head-to-head competition on Thursday, March 8, in what has been dubbed "The Conquest of Millikan Islands," this year's ME 72 Engineering Design Contest. Setup for the contest, which has become a popular event in the Division of Engineering and Applied Science, begins at 1 p.m. at Millikan Pond, and the competition is scheduled to begin around 2 p.m.
