A Taste of Neuroscience: How Your Brain Gives Life Flavor

How does the biology of taste affect how we make choices and how do these choices shape our culture? The NOVA special Mystery of the Senses - Taste will guide us as we discuss recent advances in the science of taste, while thinking about our own taste buds and how they flavor our experiences.

This stunning high-definition movie will serve as the springboard for a lively discussion about the science behind the beauty and wonder of nature.

Shabnam Hakimi, a graduate student in computation and neural sciences at Caltech, will introduce the film and guide the post-screening discussion.

Recommended for ages 8 and up.
