Matching Gift Programs

Double—or even triple—your gift by donating through your employer's matching gift program. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs for contributions made by employees—and sometimes retirees and spouses—to higher education. Check our list of participating companies to see if your firm is one of them.

Stocks and Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have grown in value) qualify our donors for an income-tax deduction equal to the fair market value of these securities; in addition, you will not be assessed any capital gains taxes on the transfer.

To receive credit for the current calendar/tax year, the electronic transfer from an account must be made, or the transmittal of stock certificates postmarked, no later than December 31.

Payroll Deduction

If you are Caltech faculty or staff member, you can support Caltech by making a gift through payroll deduction. Simply print out and complete the authorization form and bring it to the Gift Processing Records Office in Millikan Library 526, or mail it to

Personal Property

Real Estate
