John Chen, Caltech MS '79, is CEO of Sybase Inc., a leading enterprise software company that was acquired by SAP AG in 2010 for $6.5 billion and remains an independent operating unit today. Chen, who began his career at JPL before moving over to high-tech management, will share five lessons he learned along the way that will be applicable to any Caltech student with entrepreneurial or business aspirations.
