Aaron Jones and Claire Mann
Aaron and Claire record and perform in various combinations in Scotland, including as solos, as a duo and in their new group, Litha.
Aaron has also been a long-time member of the immensely popular Scottish group, Old Blind Dogs. Born in Poole, England, Aaron lives in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has toured the world with Old Blind Dogs, and now does most of their vocals. He is a fine singer and musician on bouzouki, bass and cittern.
Claire Mann, from Newcastle upon Tyne in the northeast of England, plays flute, tin whistle and fiddle. She is in demand as a session musician in Edinburgh and has also toured extensively worldwide with bands Tabache, Craobh Rua and Christy O'Leary. Her first album, Claire Mann in 2001, featured her playing and singing with a fine ensemble of musicians, including Aaron, and it was followed by Aaron and Claire's duo recording, Secret Orders, which features the energy of their jigs and reels, along with jaunting waltzes, beautifully interpreted songs and haunting laments.
