Caltech Student Data and Insights on Teaching
Led by Dr. Cassandra Horii (CTLO) and Dr. Hanna Song (CCD)Designed for faculty teaching Core and other large/introductory courses, especially first and second year science, math, and engineering. This discussion will include:
- Updated information about Caltech's entering students to inform teaching: academic experiences, preparation, demographics, and tendencies.
- Insights on teaching based on surveys and related data from recent Caltech entering undergraduate students.
- An overview of teaching approaches that are most beneficial to Caltech students.
Lunch will be provided with RSVP by Monday, September 10.
This event is part of the Inclusive Caltech Core project and will be followed by a Syllabus Workshop in the afternoon.
